Jill began her career at a wellness center, working alongside chiropractors and physical therapists, and now runs her private massage therapy practice in Rocky Hill, CT. Before pursuing massage therapy, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Southern Connecticut State University and spent over 11 years in Human Resources, focusing on wellness program management, recruiting, employee relations, and benefits administration.

Her passion for wellness is deeply personal. Having faced chronic pain, anxiety, depression, Lyme disease, and Fibromyalgia, Jill understands firsthand the challenges of living with health struggles. This journey inspired her to help others find relief, balance, and resilience in their own lives.

My Journey With Chronic Pain

Life has a way of nudging us towards our purpose often in unexpected ways.  Like many others, I had my share of health-related challenges, both physical and emotional. Little did I know that these hurdles would ultimately become the stepping stones towards finding my passion.  As a Wellness Coach, I have had the privilege of witnessing the remarkable impact that lifestyle changes can have on well-being. My health journey has been an equally profound and enlightening experience.

After college, I suffered from a lower back injury and struggled with pain for many years.  Doctors told me I had to live with the pain. Feeling hopeless and discouraged with the medical community, I tried chiropractic and orthopedic massage which was the turning point that got me back on track. This healing journey inspired me to leave my Human Resources job and become a Massage Therapist.

Years later, I found myself on a better path but wasn’t feeling great. I spent lots of time and money to find a solution. Most doctors told me they couldn’t help me and I was just depressed. My symptoms ranged from fatigue, muscle, and joint pain, and gut inflammation to brain fog and anxiety.  Thankfully, I found an amazing physician who listened to my story, sent me for specific bloodwork, and diagnosed me with Lyme disease. I never noticed a tick on my body or ever developed a rash. After a few rounds of antibiotics, I started to feel better.

Months later, I started having intense migraines and debilitating fatigue. I felt like I was dying and all I wanted to do was stay in bed. A neurologist sent me for a brain MRI and ordered more blood tests to identify other co-infections. I didn’t have any idea that a tick bite could result in other diseases at that time. The test revealed that I contracted Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever which is still a mystery to this day.  Shortly after, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Making lifestyle changes along with taking natural supplements and antibiotics helped me recover. Finding my wellness team took a while but I am so happy that I never gave up.

Finding My Purpose

Every challenge I faced was a valuable lesson, leading me closer to understanding the connection between habits, mindset, and overall vitality.  Armed with curiosity, I delved into countless hours of research, immersed myself in various holistic modalities, and sought guidance from experts across the wellness spectrum. I was not only seeking answers for myself but also nurturing a burning desire to share the knowledge I gained with others.

For almost 2 decades, I have practiced Massage Therapy and specialize in pain and stress management which has completely changed my life and been a huge blessing.  To make an even bigger impact, I went back to school again and became a certified Whole Health Educator™ and Wellness Coach. I am dedicated to empowering others to overcome obstacles and make sustainable lifestyle changes to become the best version of themselves.
